Our aircraft tugs’ walk-behind feature enhances operational ease and optimizes safety. Our tugs are rated for aircraft weighing up to 16,000 pounds, and they serve FBOs, and commercial and private aircraft. It’s our NFE-4 aircraft tug design, however, that has become extremely popular!
Our NFE-4 aircraft tug can boast of being one robust, handy piece of ground-support machinery! It is compact, incredibly easy to operate, and is perfectly designed for Cirrus Aircraft as well as for most nose-fairing aircraft and other castering or non-castering nose-wheel aircraft up to 4,000 pounds. The engine of the NFE-4 utilizes a quiet 24-volt electric motor, and the tug comes with two batteries and an on-board Smart Battery charger.
The NFE-4 aircraft tug offers simplistic, single-user operation thanks to the ease of the lifting of the nose-wheel. Just attach the small tow-bar to the aircraft and winch the tow-bar/nose-wheel onto the raised platform, and the NFE-4 is ready to, seamlessly, guide your aircraft wherever you want it to go!
This tug’s control is based on its unique ‘thumb-throttle’ system that utilizes an electric transaxle w/differential. The ‘return-to-brake’ feature prevents any unintentional movement of the craft upon release of the thumb throttle.
