Our Aircraft Tugs – Get a Load of our NFE-4 Model!
Our aircraft tugs are a walk-behind design rated for aircraft weighing up to 16,000 pounds, and they serve FBO’s and commercial and private aircraft. One aircraft tug in particular – our NFE-4 – is one you could easily fall in love with!
This tug is powerful, yet compact, and is ideally suited for Cirrus aircraft as well as for most nose-fairing aircraft and other castering or non-castering nose-wheel aircraft up to 4,000 pounds. The engine of the NFE-4 offers a quiet 24-volt electric motor, and the tug comes with two batteries and an onboard Smart Battery charger.
The NFE-4 tug is designed for seamless, single-user operation thanks to the ease of the lifting of the nose-wheel. Just attach the small tow-bar to the aircraft and winch the tow-bar/nose-wheel onto the raised platform and the NFE-4 is ready to take over!
The control of the NFE-4 is based on its unique ‘thumb-throttle’ system that utilizes an electric transaxle w/differential. The ‘return-to-brake’ feature prevents any unintentional movement of the craft upon release of the thumb throttle.
